Brooks Note, Pinot Noir, Marin County 2013
If you had a chance to make wine under the Kosta Browne name , then two things are very clear; you know what you're doing when it comes to world class Pinot Noir and you're well liked. Score several points for winemaker Garry Brooks.
After stints with Kosta Browne and Dutton Goldfield, Brooks' attention turned to Marin County where Pinot Noir is surging and the area is becoming a serious player for growing top notch grapes. This wine is 100% Pinot Noir from the windswept hills and rolling pastures of Western Marin. Cool ocean breezes from the Petaluma Gap provides the perfect climate for this varietal. We loved the flavors and aromas of cranberries and tart cherries this wine delivers while finishing with a few, subtle yet beautiful notes of clove and cinnamon. 13.9% alc. Only 250 cases produced.
