CrauforD, Highlander, Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley 2016
Winemaker Chris Crawford Corley is a first-generation Scot-American and second-generation winemaker. The name 'Highlander' celebrates his Celtic heritage. As a Crawford, he can trace his clan lineage back 700 years, with paternal roots in Ayrshire and Falkirk (remember the famous battle in the movie Braveheart?), and maternal lineage from Ireland. There is something fresh and bold, vibrant and racy in the highlands. Chris finds these characteristics in this wine as well, as do we! Highlander is very aromatic, with contrasting and complementary tones of ripe tropical fruit and citrus on the nose. On the palate, this wine is crisp and refreshing, displaying a vibrant acidity and clean, citrus fruit. 14.5% alc. Only 182 cases produced.
