Eric Kent Cellars, Rose', Sonoma County 2016
This vintage of winemaker Kent Humphrey's killer Rose' is a unique blend of 77% Pinot Noir, 17% Syrah and 6% Grenache. The wine is truly unique in how it displays the amazing qualities and contrasts of these varietals, producing a Rose' that is far greater than the sum of its parts. Eric Kent Rose' was fermented roughly half in stainless steel at very low temperatures and the remainder in neutral barrels, offering the best of both techniques to the finished wine. The wine is cherry red in color and has the personality and presence of something more than just Rose'. There are loads of fresh and mouthwatering red fruit from the Pinot Noir as well as lovely spice and even a hint of tannin from the Syrah and Grenache. This is a thirst quencher and a serious wine all in one. And if you have to have it with food, it'll pair well with everything from French fries to a seven course meal. For real? For real. 14.1% alc.
