Last Summer, Grenache, Paso Robles 2016
In 2013, Jen Bartz was on the fast track toward a degree in biomedicine. Then, the wine bug bit, and bit hard! She bailed to pursue her dream of making great wine on California's Central Coast. She fell in love with this region largely because of the diversity and quality of wine growing as well as winemaking. She feels inspired by the attention to farming, sustainability, and the desire of the community to capture the essence of vineyards and varietals. The approach and support she was looking for.
This beauty is 100% Grenache from three select vineyards along California's central coast. The wine is bright red in color, almost Pinot-like. The nose is a potpourri of red fruits, crushed flowers and spice followed by more red fruits and more spice. She's a pretty one, sporting mild tannins and a little grip with an endless summer finish. 14.6% alc. Only 100 cases produced.
