Method, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2014
Winemaker Trevor Sheehan (Precision Red Wine, Navigator Cabernet Sauvignon) spent close to a full decade in Burgundy and Bordeaux learning from the best winemakers in both regions. He even got them to share a few secrets along the way. Method Cabernet Sauvignon is chalk full of comparisons and contrasts of very diverse and hand selected vineyards within Napa Valley. With a little mountain fruit, some fruit from the valley floor, some properties that are east facing and others that face west and get extra sun love in the afternoons, this wine is as delicious as it is unique. First out of the glass are aromas of black cherry, cassis and violets. Deep and complex flavors of toffee and caramel oak soon follow. Method is a serious, proof positive that Napa Valley will never be a one trick pony. 14.5% alc. Only 325 cases produced.
