Sabotage, Red Wine, Napa Valley 2014
In 2014, it seemed as though Mother Nature was trying to "sabotage" Napa Valley's growing season. With the drought still in full force and a strong earthquake hitting the downtown area, the pessimists were out in force. BUT, the valley once again produced a very strong vintage of high quality wines. And despite the drought, Napa Valley produced some spectacular weather, nearly perfect for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Sabotage is a deliberate blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot and 1% Malbec from sub regions of St. Helena, Atlas Peak and Diamond Mountain. The wine will politely wreck your palate with well developed black and blue fruits and bright acidity. The fruit from Atlas Peak and Diamond Mountain in particular gives this wine serious depth and structure. Made by winemaker-newcomer Sean Roney. 14.1% alc.
