Zeitgeist Cellars, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2013
Winemakers Mark Porembski (Anomaly Vineyards) and Jennifer Williams (Arrow & Branch, Ziata and formerly Spottswoode) deliver this truly (really, we mean it big time) impressive Cabernet Sauvignon wine sourced from four impeccably farmed vineyard sites; Anomaly in St. Helena, Farella in Coombsville, Sleeping Lady in Yountville and the Moulds near the city of Napa. Zeitgeist demonstrates the qualities so many people love about Napa Valley: bold fruit, exciting spice and approachable, round tannins. 2013 gave what Napa Valley insiders are calling an even better vintage than the highly rated 2012. The wine is rich upon entry with dense notes of mocha and blackberry jam. It's absolutely delicious right from the first sip. It will age beautifully through 2030. 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. 14.8% alc. Only 421 cases produced.
